I think I'm allergic to my new job.  I get a headache everyday that I am there.  Maybe it's being stuck for hours in one room.  Or it could be from constantly fighting off the urge to just crawl under the table and take a nap.  But after tomorrow training is half done.  That's the good part.  And I think we only have three more days of lectures and one is with all the kooky psych people and the other two are with Dr. Payne who is really pretty fun.  So that's a plus too.  Then we get to leave our "classroom" (finally!) and head down to the mentoring room where our temporary cubicles will be.  Cubicles....it's so very Office Space down there.

My nephew Caden knows how to crawl now!  I haven't seen it yet...but my sister called me over this past weekend to let me know he'd finally figured it out.  He's been rolling/scooting about for a while...but he hadn't been able to get the whole hand/knee coordination down.  She says he's all over the place, which given that he's 9 months I'm not surprised.

My other nephew's baseball team won their district tournament.  Yay for Jay!  It was very exciting! I find the games of kids more entertaining than those of grown-ups.  I mean, with like Jay's 12 and under team, they still mess up sometimes and still score more than two runs a game, there's just a lot more action to it than in the MLB where it's mostly about the pitching and out of park home runs.

Number of days until Vinny pays a visit...3...he'll be here Sunday.  Prayers he finds a job this trip...that would be fabulous!

Being a grown up isn't so much fun.  Working - bills - blah!  I feel old.  I think I skipped my "between a teen and an adult" stage.  I went straight to adult and I think I missed out on some stuff.  But whatcha' gonna do?  Things happen the way they happen so make the best of it and choose to be happy with it.  Easier said than done some days but nothing is easy everyday.

later all...and much love!

Thus far my new job is boring.  That's all at this point, just boring.  With lots of reading.  It's like I'm in college all over again.  Luckily this time it's only for six weeks.  Orientation/Training is BLAH.

Happier news...Vinny is planning to visit for the 4th o' July.  Yea! for that!

Holier news...God completely blessed the company picnic (that we newbies were basically required to attend even though it was only our third day at the office) with beautiful weather.  I was dreading sitting out in major heat sweating and sunburning.  There was lots of shade (say no to bad sun rays) and it was breezy.  Weather wise it was nice.

I just saw on the news...for real it's like 6:30ish...where a coach at a h.s. got fired because he had 2 or 3 athletes run til' they passed out and went to the hospital (I'm thinking dehydration or heat exhaustion) because he wouldn't let the drink the water that was handy because they were being punished.  Yeah, coach types, I get you want to run people to death, but you can't do that in 90-something degree heat.  That's just not smart.

Claussen's pickles - the ones kept in the fridge section in the spear shape - are the greatest pickles ever.  Try 'em.  You'll agree.

I have to get ready for work now...prayers I stay awake and alert. ( Seriously, I'm not being smart, I get really drowsy in that room and usually get a headache by 1 or 2 in the afternoon.  I've been out of school too long.)

Have a Tiggerific Thursday.

Oh and p.s.  anyone else watch "So You Think You Can Dance...Dance....Dance..."  because I'm rooting for Benji a bunch.

I need new hair.

Or at least a trim.

Probably a cut.

I just don't know what I want it to look like.

la-de-da-da-da

I've been at work since 9am Monday morning.  All day and night for the last three days...I'm ready to go home.  Sigh...less than 3 hours. I can make.  He'll enable me to make it.  Yeah, it so hasn't been that bad I'm just feeling dramatic about it.  I am ready to take a break though.  Yea! for breaks...and brakes.  The second kind are really helpful too.
